Jay Matthew grew up as an aspiring writer in Beaumont, TX and is now a Houston based playwright/ screenwriter and novelist. His genre focus is in dramas, comedic-dramas, and some period work from the early 1900’s. Jay also works as a ghostwriter for up and coming scriptwriters and novelist. As a playwright Jay has completed several stage plays and produced two of them on stage. He produced the stage plays entitled ‘You Don’t Even Love Me’ in 2007, and ‘Church Picnic’ produced by Svelte Entertainment Group that hit the stage in Dallas, TX on August 15,2009. Jay Matthew also published an additional play entitled ‘Diamonds’ in 2008, while producing his last original production entitled ‘Almosthappy’ in 2011.

Jay now devotes most his time to completing the Magnificent Life of Mercer F. Roux novel series, writing on teams for television shows and pilots, and ghostwriting.
